VitaPath Genetics has developed a platform to identify these genomic differences so doctors can prescribe vitamin-based therapies that benefit certain medical conditions. Our first test measures genetic risk factors associated with giving birth to a child with spina bifida and identifies women who would benefit from prescription-strength folic acid supplementation before pregnancy.
The vitamin industry is a $30 billion market that currently has little genomic science to guide treatment decisions.
